Fast Food. In a rush? Head down to your favorite burger place and order some burger and fries. Serve with beers and soda.

Twist Pasta with Mushrooms and Hazelnuts. Toast a cup of hazelnuts in a pan until they’re golden brown, this helps bring out the nutty juices, woody flavor. Get half of the nuts and mix with 3/4 cup of chicken broth, put in a blender. Transfer the mixture in a small bowl and stir with 1 teaspoon of red wine vinegar and season with salt and pepper. In a skillet, add 1 pound of maitake mushrooms with garlic, salt, and pepper and toss around for 10 minutes. Add the pasta, the chicken broth, and the mushrooms together in a large pot over medium heat and let the sauce thicken and coat the pasta.

3 | Pinoy Boodle Fight (Good For 8)


Go to the local market and pick up some classics like balut, penoy, and salted egg. For dessert, some suman, mangoes, and bananas will help cleanse your guests’ palate. Layer your dining table with newspapers and then some banana leaves for an authentic boodle. Just make sure you wipe down the leaves with a wet cloth.

Stir constantly over medium heat for five minutes and set aside to cool. In a tall glass, layer the pearls and gelatin with some crushed ice, and put in the syrup.
