Scavolini has partnered up with Fabio Novembre for the first time, and introduces the innovative Dandy Plus project for a future-ready home

Have you ever stepped into your kitchen or bathroom and felt that it could use more life? These spaces are necessities in every home, yet often left to just mere function and not a single speck of elevated flair or ambiance. Yes, your kitchen properly functions as a place to cook, and your bath satisfies your regular needs, but they can surely do more to make them less drab and more enjoyable. Scavolini—one of the biggest players in kitchen cabinetry and systems—and Fabio Novembre—an internationally acclaimed architect distinguished by strong expressiveness and iconic signs—are teaming up with Dandy Plus.

Spaces connect seamlessly through soft curves, decorative textures, and bright accent colours.
Spaces connect seamlessly through soft curves, decorative textures, and bright accent colours. In this set, the predominant colour is Pure White for the base units and wall units, placed beside the Grey Plus bridge, unified by a splash of Coral Red.

In an increasingly connected world, where functions are becoming hybridised within increasingly compact homes, Dandy Plus incorporates a sense of belonging in your busiest spaces. This is made possible by bringing the voice of Alexa into the heart of the home. It’s a voice assistant which becomes your vital ally to interact and check all the appliances, consult a recipe, entertain with background music, or even order take-out when needed. Alexa in the bath brings a new interpretation of indulging in pampering—to wind down and soak in the tub or sing in the shower accompanied by the tunes. Dandy Plus is about breaking the mold of ordinary and making your spaces simply modern and future-ready.

It’s an 80s vibe

Dandy Plus is a redux of the best-selling Scavolini model from the 80s, Dandy. This tech-infused collection reveals itself as a clear homage to the most expressive Italian design, characterized by soft curves, decorative textures, and bright colours.

Contrasting elements bring variety to the space with the base unit doors
Contrasting elements bring variety to the space with the base unit doors being Coal Oak veneered and Mustard Yellow matt lacquered, while the wall units are in Flint Grey decorative melamine. The splash of colour is provided by Bronze, emerging from the handles.

In terms of aesthetics, the distinguishing feature of Dandy Plus is the bridge element, which is available in White Plus or Grey Plus laminate. Whether it includes the entire kitchen block or only the base units, the living room units, or the breakfast bench support, the bridge element is the leitmotif of the entire collection. This defines the profile of all these modular elements, making its personality immediately recognisable and building a cohesive space.

Adding character to your spaces, a splash of colour can be found on elements you touch, such as handles, buttons, knobs, and levers on the mixers. Five bright colours are available for all the customisable elements: Coral Red, Mustard Yellow, Agave Blue, Prestige White, and Slate Black. These are supplemented by Aluminium and Bronze for the handles, which are actually made of recycled plastic and stand out for the special bubble-like texture which disappears progressively towards the edging: a detail that generates enjoyable tactile sensations.

In compact homes, Dandy Plus excels with the bridge element that frames base units and tall units.
In compact homes, Dandy Plus excels with the bridge element that frames base units and tall units, defining their profile and lending them a uniform appearance. In this set, the predominant colour is Veil Grey for the base units and wall units, placed beside the White Plus bridge and a splash of Mustard Yellow.

The design of the living room blends in with the kitchen, while respecting its modularity and shapes. The choice of different finishes and customizable handles, coordinating or in contrast with one another, offers extensive customisation possibilities. Among the accessories designed specifically by Fabio Novembre for Dandy Plus, the table features the same rounded shapes as the kitchen worktop, with elegant arched legs that emphasise the curved silhouettes of the entire project. Project Dandy Plus also extends to the bathroom, which is again connected through the bridge element and the brightly coloured details.

Smarten up

With Dandy Plus, Scavolini has grasped every opportunity offered by the digital world and created the first furniture system designed with built-in Alexa from the get-go. The central smart hub is called the Task Bar: an aluminium profile placed underneath the wall units and secured to the wall, on which the Alexa-compatible smart speaker is placed to help control the space. While working on the countertop or relaxing in the bath, you can control the lights, music, or any compatible appliance without hassle.

A distinguishing feature in Dandy Plus by Scavolini is the Task Bar: an aluminium bar secured to the wall, equipped with Alexa through the smart speaker device.
A distinguishing feature in this set is the Task Bar: an equipped aluminium bar secured to the wall, on which Alexa, through the smart speaker device, is placed to control the various technological systems. Round slots can also accommodate power outlets, USB ports, or support for towel racks and shelves.

In Dandy Plus, the technology incorporated is almost invisible. In fact, a wireless charger is built into the surface of the worktop, adding an extra level of convenience in your daily routines. This is set to become one of the most popular technological accessories in the near future, now ready for your home.

Further components that supplement the Task Bar are the round slots framed by recycled plastic rings which accommodate smart functions such as power outlets and USB ports, but also shelves, accessories, and containers for your kitchen and bath, which are all distinguished by accents of colour to match the other custom elements.

Even for compact spaces for single sinks and mirrors, Dandy Plus by Scavolini and the Task Bar can help shape your mood
Even for compact spaces for single sinks and mirrors, Dandy Plus and the Task Bar can help shape your mood. The predominant colour is White for the vanity unit, placed beside the Grey Plus bridge and Agave Blue as the accent color that brings a burst of freshness.

“In the partnership with Novembre Studio, we started by thinking about the increasingly pervasive role of technology in our everyday activities and in our homes, and ended up creating a smart and comprehensive project. By incorporating Alexa, we gave Dandy Plus a voice: a smart, innovative and comprehensive project, designed for everyone who wants an all-over digital experience at home too,” shared Fabiana Scavolini, Chief Executive Officer of Scavolini.

Modular, customizable, contemporary, and future-ready. The work accomplished by Fabio Novembre and Scavolini touches on past heritage and looks to both the present and the Future, where technology and innovation cater to the needs of design.
