1 Dining And Coffee
For small studio units, multi-use furniture is going to be your best friend. Your unit itself is a multi-use space, so it’s just fitting that your furniture pieces function the same way. For instance, when choosing a table for dining and extra surface area in your kitchen-living area, opt for a coffee table that can transform into a dining table. This doesn’t just save you floor space, but also saves you from buying extra furniture.
Here’s a real local condo that used this space-saving hack! It’s from Primea Design Studio.
2 Hide-away, Fold-out Or Pull-out
You can also save space with hide-away, fold-out or pull-out dining tables. Take cues from the Murphy bed
which you can hide in a closet when you’re not using it. The same idea goes with pull-out dining tables that can appear from underneath the kitchen counter or the kitchen island. If you prefer dining tables you can move around, choose a foldable table.
3 Extendable Or Extension
While your space is limited, your dining table can be extended, especially when you have guests over. Purchase or customize a table than can transform from a modest tiny table into a decent long table. If you can’t have that, you can extend your existing kitchen island’s surface to make way for a dining space.
4 Bar or Banquet
If there aren’t available floor space to add any more furniture, why don’t you mount your dining table by the kitchen window or the wall near the kitchen, then add bar stools to make it like a bar set up. On the other hand, if you have that one corner in your space that can be turned into a dining area, you set up a nook with a cushioned seating partnered with two or three stools.
