Jesy Cruz whipped up this 34-square meter condo perfect for any Millennial. Located in BGC, this Millennial condo is owned by the decorator’s college friend. In his late 20s, the owner is a businessman who entrusted Jesy to make his unit more livable and stylish. The two friends kept in touch via Viber for design approvals. The interior decorator cites the client as very trusting with his recommendations. The result is a playful, masculine, and very updated space that doesn’t try too hard to impress. millennial condo, Jesy Cruz, CondoLiving magazine, interior designers philippines An artwork by J Pacena hangs in the living room, perfectly sandwiched by two mirrors. The mirror panels were strategically placed. “Mirrors can also double clutter,” shares Jesy. In this Millennial condo, it’s all about the open floor plan. The living and dining area co-exist in one open space. The metallic tile wall looks like a very pixelated terrain. Jesy shares that he opted for tiles on the wall because wallpapers peel with heat. A fully functioning kitchen can raise the value of the condo in case the client plans to sell the unit in the future. Jesy also had the kitchen countertop continue to the main entertainment console. To keep kitchen aromas from travelling out of the kitchen, Jesy had a glass installed to let light pass through and to avoid a visual block.

To separate the bedroom, Jesy placed a glass wall. This allows natural light to still enter in the unit while keeping the bedroom private. Roll down blinds were installed in case the owner wanted extra privacy. Jesy had a custom sticker decal placed in the glass to avoid anyone from bumping into the glass. Jesy’s only request was for the artist to use red and blue, he did not expect an incredibly interesting piece that anchors the entire bedroom. Before entering the bedroom, Jesy installed a shoe storage/display for the owner to show off his favorite kicks. millennial condo, Jesy Cruz, CondoLiving magazine, interior designers philippines This story first appeared on CondoLiving Vol 11.1.
