A treasure chest of information, all you need to do is sign up on the page (it’s free!) to access the CCP’s Encyclopedia of Philippine Art.

The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP)’s Encyclopedia of Philippine Art is known as the country’s most comprehensive source of information on Philippine Art and Culture. Last year, the CCP strived to make this encyclopedia (which costs up to P50,000 per set, by the way) available online to keep it available to Filipinos even amidst the pandemic. Last year, however, the resource had a rate of P75 for a monthly subscription with semi-annual and annual options also available.

This year, the resource can now be accessed through this link for free. All one needs to do is sign up and make an account on its page to access the online Encyclopedia of Philippine Art filled with over 5000 entries from more than 500 contributors. The CCP EPA was first published in 1994 and was put together by a large number of writers, researchers, scholars, experts, artists, and cultural workers who helped complete the first 10 volumes. It is divided into nine sections: Peoples of the Philippines, Architecture, Film, Broadcast Arts, Music, Dance, Theater, Visual Arts, and Literature.

For any student or simply enough anyone thirsting for knowledge about our country and its art, the CCP Encyclopedia of Philippine Art is a must-have collection. Magnifying the collection’s architecture section,
