What A Girl Wants: Her Dream Walk-in Closet Fulfilled
February 17, 2016
If most men are obsessed with their cars, most women are equally obsessed with their walk-in closets. This proves to be true for this couple. Paolo and Michelle Robles-de Castro created their so-called territories in their recently renovated home.
According to Michelle, her husband was assigned to build the house while she was assigned to plan their wedding. She told him that he can do whatever he wants for as long as she gets a nice big closet.
Her architect husband transformed their garage into his own man cave, where he tinkers with his collection of cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. Paolo then extended their master bedroom t grant his fashionista wife’s request. A wall was broken down to connect the his-and-hers bathroom with the walk-in closet, resulting in a spacious sanctuary where Michelle spends most of her time in.
Enhancing one wall with a vanity mirror, complete with glass top drawers for Michelle’s jewelry, and side shelves that display her perfume collection. Majority of the open cabinets are filled with her well-organized clothes. Michelle also requested a floor-to-ceiling shoe rack, where the pairs are arranged from slippers to sandals then flats, high heels, and pumps. There are also dedicated shelves for Michelle’s designer bags—which she admits to collecting more than anything.
Michelle has admitted that she has slept in her walk-in closet. A large ottoman centers the walk-in closet with an intricately designed pendant light that perfectly reflects Michelle’s stylish personality. According to her, she hasn’t seen anything like it.
Her only request is to give the closet a bit more modern design that would still match the house’s theme.
